Bee School Frequently Asked Questions

A whole lot of buzz for your buck! 🐝 Your ticket includes a keynote presentation, four educational sessions of your choice, and a closing panel discussion. With three tracks running concurrently, you can mix and match sessions to create your perfect Bee School experience. Plus, enjoy lunch prepared by GRCC culinary students, morning and afternoon refreshments, free parking, and time to shop local vendors. Each adult ticket also includes $10 in Bee Bucks to spend with local vendors ($20 for a couples ticket)! All included in one ticket!

Not at all! You're free to buzz between tracks throughout the day! With Beginner, Beyond Beginner, and Beyond the Hive sessions running concurrently, you can mix and match to create your own Bee School experience. Choose the four sessions that interest you most—no need to stick to just one track!

Just yourself and your curiosity! We'll take care of the rest. You may want to bring a notepad and pen to jot down all those bee-rilliant tips, plus a reusable water bottle or travel mug to fill up with complimentary coffee and refreshments throughout the day!

We know it's hard to choose between so many great sessions! At this time, we do not have the capacity to record. Speakers may choose to share their slides after the event, but it's entirely up to them. Last year, about half made their presentations available, so we can't guarantee materials from every session. All the more reason to join us in person!

Don't bee late to the party! 🐝 Bee School sold out last year, so we strongly recommend registering early to secure your spot. Same-day registration may be available if space permits, but it's not guaranteed. Plus, walk-in attendees may miss out on our delicious lunch prepared by GRCC culinary students, depending on availability. Register ahead to make sure you don't miss a thing!

Morning refreshments, lunch, and afternoon treats are included with admission and all are prepared on-site by GRCC culinary students and staff.

• Morning: Coffee, tea, water, and assorted sweets.
• Lunch: Your choice of soup (Zesty Tomato, Stuffed Bell Pepper, or White Chicken Chili) and either a Chicken Caprese Wrap or Goat Cheese and Cherry Salad. All lunches include chips, fruit, a cookie, and soda or water.
• Afternoon: Assorted brownies.

You will select your wrap or salad when registering. If you have dietary restrictions or food allergies, please email us at grbeeclub@gmail.com, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Plans change, we get it! Cancellations made at least 7 days before Bee School will receive a full refund of the ticket price, excluding any nonrefundable Eventbrite fees. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 7 days before the event.

If Bee School is canceled by the organizers, ticket holders will receive a full refund.

Michigan winters can be unpredictable, but a little snow won't stop the buzz! As long as GRCC remains open, Bee School will go on as planned. If severe weather or other circumstances force the school to close and us to cancel, full refunds will be issued. 

Absolutely! We love inspiring the next generation of beekeepers and even offer discounted children's tickets! However, Bee School is a full day of classroom-style learning, so we recommend it for ages 14 and up. Children's tickets must be purchased alongside a valid adult ticket. Given the great value of our children's ticket bee bucks are not included for children.
